Top Destinations in 2024
As we enter another amazing New Year I wanted to share, as I usually do, where I see the most demand, and the most bang for your buck, in the coming months.
What destination is tops for Midwest travelers looking for fun-in-the-sun and value for their money? As usual, Mexico topped our 2023 charts. And not by a little bit, seven to one.
We send thousands of customers to Mexico every year. Cancun and Cabo are the top locations. We know these like we know the backs of our own hands.
Cancun offers the most variety when it comes to resorts and throws in an incredible array of excursions and activities just to sweeten the deal.
I should say Cancun and the Riviera Maya and Costa Mujeres, since there are now literally three distinct destinations that utilize the main Cancun airport.
I love the Tulum area, and equally as nice are some of the spots up north in the Costa Mujeres area. We, as an agency, just went to both of those locations in December (as well as the hotel zone in Cancun). As you know, we never recommend anywhere we haven’t tried first, so try them we did. And we fell in love with five new resorts that you are sure to be hearing about when you call us for your 2024 vacations.
Cabo has been a huge hit for us over the past several years. In fact, I am taking fifty-seven people there for Valentine’s Day next month, fully confident they are going to have a fantastic time. Off season travel is my favorite time to send you to Cabo, especially Nov-March when you can see the whales. If you are a golfer, Cabo will be paradise for you.
Jamaica and the Dominican Republic are our next highest in demand destinations. I love them both. Jamaica has some amazing adult-only resorts with three very different areas and different experiences to choose from.
The Dominican Republic is very hit and miss. I was there in November trying out resorts for you and came home with two new ones I feel good about offering. One that should have been a homerun was a super stinker. This is why we go before we send you.
Our customers are starting to get over the war fear and travel to Europe again without hesitation. River Cruises are hot hot hot, as they have been for many years now. The more you go, the more you know, and our river cruise customers are truly dedicated to that style of travel. It is worthy of their dedication.
Now that we have an ocean cruise expert our ocean cruise bookings have increased by hundreds of thousands of dollars. She personally jumped onboard several different brands in 2023, just to be sure she was recommending the perfect fit for you.
Overall, 2024 looks great from a price point standpoint. Election years are usually slow in the travel industry, and our preferred brands and partners are already taking that into consideration with enticing price points and extra amenities to lure your 2024 business.
My best advice? Take advantage of the special prices and offers available right now and get your 2024 vacations under deposit.
