What exactly is a Tour?
It suddenly occurred to me that I throw around the word “tour” as though everyone knows what I’m talking about, and clearly after discussing it with several new customers over the past week many do not.
To put it simply touring is a perfectly planned vacation package. The research, the planning, the reservations, the logistics, the currency conversions and the language barriers, even the tips, they are all taken care of for you.
The flights, the driving, the navigating, the transfers, it’s all included. The day-to-day burdens that take a trip from fun to frustrating are handled by your tour conductor and driver. How much better is that?
Did you know your tour includes deluxe hotel stays in the city centers of your destinations? No researching online and risking an ugly surprise when it comes to your hotels.
VIP sightseeing is also included. The most requested attractions as well as many “off the beaten path” experiences are built into your itinerary, with no waiting in lines for tickets. Your tickets are pre-arranged. You drive up to the door, get out of your luxury motorcoach, and enter the facility. Whether it’s the Vatican Museums or the London Eye (where wait times are 2+ hours on a good day), you’ll walk right in.
Even though the major attractions are included, doing what the locals do is also a big part of your touring experience. With plenty of free time factored into your itinerary, you’re sure to have time to enjoy special moments along the way.
You are spending 24/7 with a bonified Rock Star, your tour conductor. These highly experienced specialists not only know everything there is to know about your destination (I haven’t managed to stump one yet in over 15 years of touring Europe) but they are also in charge of all the logistics of the tour. Forget your toothbrush? They’ll know where to get one. Where’s the closest gelato? They’ll know exactly where you need to go. Road construction ahead? They know how to avoid traffic delays.
The biggest hurdle I hear about is there will be “other” people on the tour. Yes, there will. And they are people just like you. We call those “like minded” new friends. They are obviously interested in the same things you are interested in or they wouldn’t be on the tour. I have made countless friends over the past 15 years of touring just by connecting with people on a tour. You will, too.
If you truly don’t want to travel with outsiders, your best bet is to join one of our personally escorted private tours. We offer up to six every year. Join the fun, make new friends, see the world. We have a huge following with these events.
We also offer small groups and/or private touring for you and your friends alone. As few as 15 people can enjoy a private tour experience. In fact, I recently sent a family group of 15 to the Holy Land on a private tour. They loved it. Especially when the ordained minister onboard baptized them all in the Jordan River.
Did you know meals are part of the deal as well? That’s right. Breakfast daily (and it’s a hearty one) along with several delicious included dinners are also part of the package.
Who wants to save time and money? You save on average about 30% when you join a tour rather than going it on your own. And time? There’s literally no telling how much time you save by joining a tour rather than fighting traffic, fighting the language barrier, trying to navigate to the next exit, find your hotel, check in (that’s right, you don’t even stand in line and check in at your hotels, you hop off the motorcoach, your key is handed to you by your tour conductor, and you’re all set. Even your luggage is delivered to your room. You aren’t dragging your bags all over Europe behind you.
Are you ready to hit the road? With single country tours from six nights all the way up to multi-country tours that last the better part of a month, touring is the most hassle free, economical, fun way to go.
I've been touring for the past 15 years and can honestly say I have loved every single tour. Join me? Or allow me to arrange the tour you’ve been dreaming of?
Your Globetrotting friend,
Joy
