Hi! My name is Erica Shaw and I have been with The Joy of Travel since 2013.
If you have been following me for any length of time, you know that river cruising is my favorite way to travel. I went on my first river cruise in May of 2017. My husband and I sailed on Avalon from Paris to Normandy.
I have had the privilege to go on many trips since then, but that river cruise is still the favorite trip I have ever done. From our panoramic suite to the included excursions, to the scenery and the people we met, it was the perfect trip! I would do this exact same itinerary again and again.
If you have been on the fence about river cruising, my advice would be to just go. Do it! You won't regret it. I would love to talk to you about river cruising and why it is my favorite way to travel.
