Evidently We've Created a Culture

Twice last week, while booking brand new customers, they said to me “I’m finally part of The Joy of Travel club”.

What? There isn’t a Joy of Travel club.  Or is there?

Then on Friday I had breakfast with one of my reps, and he said, “You guys have really created an amazing travel culture, haven’t you?”

I never thought of it that way before.  But after mulling it over for a few hours, the answer is yes, we have.

I looked it up.  A culture is a way of life, including art, lifestyles, and institutions.  It is also “a set of patterns of human activity within a community or social group”.

That is us. The Joy of Travel. We are a lifestyle. A chosen, sought after, much appreciated way of life. We give significance and precedence to those travel experiences that enhance our lives.

If you are looking for travel agents, we are that. But we are so much more.

We quite literally customize each reservation for every single customer.

We don’t care if it ‘s a fun in the sun three night get-away, or a 24-day tour of Europe complete with a river cruise right in the middle of it.  The focus and intention are the same for us.  Exceptional customer service and attention to detail you’ll never be able to duplicate yourselves and certainly never find online.

We are very well traveled. All of us. When I take on a new agent the first thing I do is get them traveling.  As many times as I can, in as many locations and with as many brands as possible. Ask them. They are not paid to sit behind a desk and sell travel.  They are out there seeing the world, then coming back to share that experience and expertise with you, allowing you to invest your travel funds in the most meaningful way.

I never wanted to be a huge agency. I am, and have always been, focused on excellence. On your bang for your buck. On expertise, customer service, and agents who break the mold when it comes to their abilities.

The Joy of Travel culture. It’s a culture of amazing experiences, of amazing service, of like-minded individuals seeing the world in a meaningful way.  Are we a good fit for you?

Your globetrotting friend,
JOY
