A Look Back at 2022

Joy Gawf-Crutchfield

Wow.  What a year.  It seems like only yesterday it was March and we were looking forward to our very first full ship charter event.

I have traveled so much over this past year I had to look back at the pictures on my phone to remember all the trips.

One year ago I was in Hawaii with several of my agents.  We did a Town and Country tour, starting in Waikiki and ending on the North Shore.  We walked an average of 7 miles each day, touring nearly every property in the area.  We loved it and came home able to recommend the perfect resort for you, always our end-goal in any destination.

April was our full ship charter on the Tulip Time cruise.  I love Amsterdam, and would love to go back even though I’ve been there several times now.  Keukenhof Gardens are worth seeing repeatedly as well.  The dam that holds back the North Sea is a human enterprise vs nature you have to see to believe.  I followed the cruise with a Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg tour that blew me away.  I’d go on that one again tomorrow. (It’s especially fascinating for WWII buffs)

Then I spent my birthday in June with a group of about 20 in the Dominican Republic at my favorite adult-only resort there.  We had a fantastic time with old friends and made new ones, too.

Then in August Doug and I went on our very first American Queen Voyages cruise on the Snake and Columbia rivers.  Talk about first class.  Oh my goodness.  Great sites, great service, great food.  I can’t stop talking about it.

Then in September I escorted my private group across Scotland.  I think that was the best tour of Scotland I’ve ever had.  It was perfect, it truly was.  I’ve been to Scotland many times, but this time I was introduced to some new and fabulous areas, as well as having plenty of time in my old favorites.

November found me in Cabo, checking in at two resorts that were new to me, and attending a Think Tank at one of my favorites.

Now I’m off to Germany and Austria with 45 fun friends on a Danube Christmas Cruise.

As you know, my agents and I really are world travelers.  We make it our business to know what we are talking about and recommending from personal experience.

We know you can book travel anywhere.  You don’t need us to book a trip.  What we bring to the table is expertise and service.  And we are very grateful for the fact that since 2005 you seem to appreciate that.  We had another record breaking year and were awarded more accolades than I have time to mention.

Even more astounding the new VP at the Globus Family called last week, and he is joining the Christmas cruise group so we can get to know each other.  I am still pinching myself.

Thank you.  Absolutely none of our success would happen if it weren’t for you.

With sincere appreciation,
JOY
